Online Food Hygiene Training

Food Safety Training usually means attending a classroom or training room to learn all about food safety from an expert in the Food Safety field. The course usually takes the guise of a PowerPoint presentation with several videos, depending on the level, peppered throughout the lesson.
The main awards offered by trainers include:
The Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering or Manufacturing or Retail,

The Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering or Manufacturing or Retail

Level 4 Award in Managing Food Safety in Catering or the Level 4 Award in Food Safety Management for Manufacturing.

Other courses are available, for example HACCP and the Level 1 Awards in Food Safety.
What if a learner can’t get to a training course?
Perhaps the venue is too far away to travel to.
The course doesn’t lead to an Ofqual accredited qualification.
The cost of the award is too prohibitive.
The learner does not like a classroom/training room type environment.
The learner is not on the UK mainland.

Well, the answer could be to try Online Food Safety Training. There is only one company in the UK that offer all 3 main levels of Food Safety Qualifications.
The qualifications are accredited by Ofqual.
The venue is the learner’s own laptop or pc.
The costs are very competitive.
There is not a classroom/training room feel to the course, they learn in their own environment.
As the Internet is worldwide, location is not a problem.

The courses on offer are based on a PowerPoint presentation. Text books are provided, wherever the learner is situated in the world and full support is provided via email and phone.

So what about the examination? The examinations for all levels are paper-based and these are sent to the person who has agreed to invigilate the exam. The invigilator will sign a form to state that they will oversee the learner under examination conditions. They are provided with Examination Guidelines. After the exam has been completed it is returned to the training centre and from there forwarded to the Awarding Body for marking and certification if they have passed.

Each course consists of lectures with ongoing questions throughout. Sample examination questions are provided for practice. The only time stipulation is that the course and examination are completed within 3 months from sign up.
